what??: 11th april 2009 battle of the band

haiz....it took me a long time to update my blog....especially the event that i attend on the 11th of april last time.....it took me almost 2 weeks to cover the story up in this blog...well, busy is one of the reason, but lazy, hahaha..... XD that's the main reason... :p

well, 2 weeks ago, on the 11th april 2009, me and my band joined a battle of the band held at the old court house in kuching...also known as sarawak tourism complex(i think).....after a long thinking, i decided that that battle was going to be my last performance with the band....but i have to cancel the plan...it seems like i'll have to stay with the band for another show....my that another show will be my last performance with the band....what is the reason why i wanted to leave the band?? well, there are many reasons for that...but some reasons, i have to keep it a secret...some people know that other reasons, some people don't...the other reason is, i'm not into screaming vocals so much...ya, i'm the vocalist of the band...its not like i don't like screaming vocals....i like screaming vocals....but in 1 song, maybe the length is about 3 minutes +++ the whole time, every second,minutes,i scream...i dont really like it....but if its growling vocals, i accept that....i accept growling for many-many minutes, hours maybe....scream??ok, but not to much.....the music that we're bringing involves to much of scream...

owh ya....why i have to cancel the plan that it was suppose to be my last performance with the band??well, this is the reason...after we finished performing on stage, there's this one dude, carlos is his name...he approach me and ask for my phone number..and he told me, "if there's an event, we'll call you.."i was like...wow!ok-ok....one of our aim has been achieved....to perform as much as we can in battle of the band, and get ourselves invited in any gigs....that what my aim, our bands aim.....i've never played in a gig before....and i wanted to know how it feels like to be performing in a gig...the atmosphere maybe different from any battle of the band....thats why i cancel the plan of leaving the band at the moment..hmm....

well, enough about me, lets get to the main point as it is stated in the title above...the battle of the band, the sound system is not quite good....the bass guitar part especially....before we got on stage, we saw other bands seems to have problems on the bass amp....i was like "ergh! if we got on stage, i wonder what we'll sound like...sound system sucks! does all of this have to happen on my last show with the band??" luckily, when it comes to our turn, things turn out to be ok...no problems at all with the sound system....before the battle started, i've never expected that there are many metal, hardcore, etc bands are going to be performing....band when i look at the bands list name, and i look at the genre located next to the band name, i was shocked to see most of the band performing were metal, hadcore etc bands.....i was like, "wa lao eh....to many competitions eh....die la like dis.." then the battle started...as i was expected after i saw the bands list name, most of the band performence were, "wa lao eh!!! the bands performing are so lihai-lihai!!!" and i'm getting more nervous...but what i didn't expect was, there's gonna be comments from the judge...hahaha...feels like we're joining malaysian idol, academy fantasia, blast off, etc....again, the winner of the battle of the bands were "ZASS"...it seems like they always win in most of the battle of the bands....and i'm so jealous...huhu....but i don't expect bands that play music like us are gonna win the battle of the bands...its like impossible.....duh....heavy music,scream, growl, howling vocals....win this kind of competition??no..never see one them winning...but if there are bands that play that kind of music, and win the battle of the bands...i salute!!!!finally, people will started to realise that heavy music with those kind of vocals are music to....2nd place of the battle goes to "MID-SOMMER"...the drummer and the vocalist of the band are originally members of a band called, "DELPHIAN FOR ARIA"....both of them are still in the band of course....delphian for aria did not join join the battle....huhu....the 3rd place goes to.....i cant remember whats the band name are....huhu...thats the problem....most of the band joining comes with weird, i mean, very-very weird names....i cant remember most of the band names... (=.=")
